Attorney General Ken Paxton today announced the availability of a mobile site for parents to obtain information about their child support cases. The mobile-friendly version of Child Support Interactive (CSI) provides added convenience to parents who use smartphones and tablets to browse the web.
Attorney General Paxton said, “The Office of the Attorney General is committed to providing excellent customer service to mothers and fathers who pay and receive child support. I am pleased that CSI Mobile is available because it will provide more convenience to the families we serve.”
Parents with OAG child support cases can obtain payment and case information from CSI located on a secure section of the agency’s website at www.texasattorneygeneral.gov . CSI Mobile offers the most requested information in a format that is easy to access and read on portable devices.
Customers can view payments, balances, case status and pending legal actions from CSI Mobile. They also can generate and view payment records and income verification forms, which custodial parents need when applying for day care and housing assistance.
Customers visiting CSI from a smartphone or tablet are automatically directed to the mobile version. The direct link to CSI Mobile is m.childsupport.oag.state.tx.us. Mobile customers who require more detailed information can access the desktop version of CSI from all devices. According to the latest statistics, 80 percent of child support customers view their case information from a mobile device.
Under state and federal law, the Office of the Attorney General can assist families who request child support services and must serve families who currently receive or have received public assistance. Services offered by the Child Support Division include locating absent parents; establishing paternity for children born to unmarried parents; establishing, enforcing and modifying child and medical support orders; and collecting and distributing child support payments.
Statewide, child support collected by the Attorney General’s Office exceeded $3.9 billion for the state fiscal year that ended Aug. 31.
