Ms. Katheryn H. West
Assistant City Attorney
Criminal Law and Police Division
City of Dallas
City Hall
Dallas, Texas 75201

Dear Ms. West:

You have asked whether certain information is subject to required public disclosure under chapter 552 of the Government Code. Your request was assigned ID# 121432.

The City of Dallas received a request for all police calls dispatched to a particular location. You submitted to this office as responsive to the request 911 call reports. We assume that any other responsive records concerning police calls have already been provided to the requestor, so that the only records at issue are the submitted call reports. We believe that a prior ruling, Open Records Letter No. 98-2551 (1998), answers your questions concerning originating telephone numbers and addresses on 911 call reports. You may rely upon Open Records Letter No. 98-2551 (enclosed) as a previous determination on this issue under section 552.301 of the Government Code and thus need not ask this office again for a decision concerning these types of records.

If you have any questions about this ruling, please contact our office.

Yours very truly,

Ruth H. Soucy
Assistant Attorney General
Open Records Division
