In 2021, the Texas Legislature passed several new requirements for the prevention of human trafficking on commercial establishments. These statutes required the Texas Attorney General’s Office to produce signs for retail locations. Additionally, the Attorney General’s Office was tasked with overseeing the commercial lodging (hotels) human trafficking training resources.
