Gregg Coun­ty Sher­iff Max­ey Cer­liano Leads Ini­tia­tive to Arrest Delin­quent Parents

Gregg County Sheriff Maxey Cerliano has arrested 23 Gregg County parents who violated court orders requiring them to pay child support. Along with support from the Texas Attorney General’s Child Support Division (CSD), others assisting Sheriff Cerliano in the roundup effort include Longview Police Chief Mike Bishop, Kilgore Police Chief Todd Hunter, Gladewater Police Chief Robert Vine, White Oak Police Chief Charles R. Smith, Lakeport Police Chief Wesley Freeman and Longview city marshals. The effort focused on parents who were the subjects of arrest warrants because of their failure to pay child support.

Attorney General Ken Paxton needs your help to find Child Support Evader Craig Hampton, one of the Most Wanted Child Support Evaders in Texas. Hampton, who was named a Child Support Evader last month, owes more than $94,000 for his daughter’s care. Hampton has gone underground to elude officials and willfully avoid arrest.

Rio Grande Val­ley Sher­iffs Con­duct Child Sup­port Roundup

Four Rio Grande Valley sheriffs have arrested 85 parents in Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr and Webb counties for violating court orders requiring them to pay child support. All parents arrested during this week’s roundup were the subjects of arrest warrants because of their failure to pay child support.

Attor­ney Gen­er­al’s Fugi­tive Unit Con­ducts Child Sup­port Roundup

The Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Unit has arrested 33 Tarrant County parents who violated court orders requiring them to pay child support. All parents arrested during this week’s roundup were the subjects of arrest warrants because of their failure to pay child support. Pct. 7 Constable Clint Burgess and Pct. 8 Constable Michael Campbell supported the Fugitive Unit in the roundup effort.

Victoria County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 15 Victoria County parents who violated a total of 20 court orders requiring them to pay child support. This week’s sweep was conducted in conjunction with the Texas Attorney General’s Child Support Division. The effort focused on parents who were the subjects of arrest warrants because of their failure to pay child support.

Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith ”“ with assistance from the Tyler Police Department; Troup Police Department; the Smith County Community Supervision and Corrections Department; and constables from precincts 2, 3, 4 and 5 ”“ has arrested 25 Smith County parents who violated court orders requiring them to pay child support. Today’s sweep was conducted in conjunction with the Texas Attorney General’s Child Support Division. The effort focused on parents who were the subjects of arrest warrants because of their failure to pay child support.

Bell County Pct. 3 Constable Thomas Prado and Pct. 4 Constable Edd Melton III have arrested 20 Bell County parents who violated court orders requiring them to pay child support. This week’s sweep, which started Monday, was conducted in conjunction with the Texas Attorney General’s Child Support Division. The effort focused on parents who were the subjects of arrest warrants because of their failure to pay child support.
