AG Pax­ton Announces Mul­ti­state Set­tle­ment with AMCA Over 2019 Data Breach

Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that Texas joined a coalition of 41 attorneys general in an Agreed Judgment against Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau d/b/a American Medical Collection Agency (AMCA), resolving an investigation of AMCA’s  2019 data breach that exposed the personal information of over 7 million individuals, including approximately 1.4 million Texans.

AG Pax­ton Announces $17.5 Mil­lion Set­tle­ment with Home Depot Regard­ing Data Breach

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton today announced that his office, along with the Attorneys General of 45 other States and the District of Columbia have obtained a $17.5 million-dollar settlement against retailer The Home Depot, resolving a multistate investigation of a 2014 data breach which exposed the payment card information of approximately 40 million Home Depot consumers nationwide.
